They had no idea that they needed to call for the shuttle and assumed it would pick them up when the races concluded. We walked out to the pick up point and was joined by a family with small children also waiting for the shuttle. We did exactly that at the end of the last race around 10:30 p.m. We caught the shuttle in front of the hotel and our driver, Don, dropped us at Lot A and said to have security call when the races were over and he would come back and pick us up. Since minors are not allowed in the casino, this is the entrance used by families with children. After checking at the desk, I was told we could take the shuttle, but they would have to drop us at Parking lot A which has an entrance to the outside racing area known as the apron.
One of the reasons I booked there was that they offer a free shuttle to their casino and race track which sits next to their hotel.
We were pleased with our room and the free wifi. It was our last night of a week vacation to West Virginia and I thought it might be fun to take her to the races at Charlestown which they own. My husband and I reserved a room at The Inn at Charles Town on a recent vacation with my 15 year old granddaughter.
